Cathy’s statement from primary election results on June 11:

I’m disappointed by the result. But I’m choosing to look at this as a victory, namely because my team could not have been better. They were tireless, persevering, and focused at all times. They energized me every day during this race. To me, their spirit and their enthusiasm won the day and the race.

I believe that my messages of prioritizing education and mental health reform resonated with voters, and I look forward to standing strong for those issues and other democratic values within House District 26. My campaign was positive and energetic, and I’m grateful to and humbled by every campaign volunteer and every person who voted for me. Thank you!
