Cathy will be a featured panelists at this event. Here's the description from their event page:

JMuse Café and the JMU Civic Engagement Committee present "When Policies are a Moving Target: How do we stay informed?"

Does trying to stay up to date on state and national policies sometimes feel like you are on a scavenger hunt? Join us for a discussion designed to help campus and community members learn how to stay informed about policy issues that are shifting targets. Panelists will offer perspectives on how to use media and governmental sources to stay abreast of proposed policies and offer their own perspectives on gaining balanced information to become more knowledgeable about national, state, and local policies.
Refreshments will be served at this free event. All are welcome!

Panelists will include:
Ryan Alessi, Journalist (Media Literacy, Wire Service)
Howard Carrier, JMU Librarian (Gov’t Documents)
Cathy Copeland, JMU WRTC Faculty member and currently running for state office
